Contests

The following table lists the skills and traits which are related to specific ability rolls as part of contests. The attacker adds the Attack skill to his ability bonus and the Defend skill is the one that the defending player adds. The Trump skill is used only if the roll results in a stalemate, to prevent a stoppage. A Team Bonus is added to the next skill check in the chain if the attacker is successful. No bonus applies to the second contest in a play involving a single player, plus there is no bonus added to scoring shots.

* Note: the Sprint and Pass contests also apply for Rebound and Turnover plays, with the same ability and skill checks, though they have different matchup lists.
