Assistants

Every head coach needs a raft of good assistants by his side during the week at training and on the weekend in the coaches box. These six line coaches are in charge of a subset of players to improve their skills:

  • Back coaches allow your defenders to work on Tackle, Wrestle and Spoil skills;
  • Midfield coaches enable mids to develop Extract, Position and Shepherd skills;
  • Ruck coaches give rucks scope to improve their Tap, Spring and Hands skills;
  • Forward coaches empower attackers to develop Baulk, Crumb and Chase skills;
  • Kicking coaches teach all players to score better in Set Shot and Snap plays;
  • Bench coaches provide better fatigue recovery during matches.

The first five assistant coaches have ratings from 0 to +3, which when added to the base of 8 represents the maximum level allowed by your players in that skill. This does not apply to Legend players.
