Tickets are used to play matches in certain modes, sometimes earned from completing in-game tasks but mostly accumulating over time on your coach account with a ceiling based on your coach accreditation level.
You can buy tickets with rubies if you are impatient, and they appear as rewards in journeys on certain days. Otherwise, you will have to wait for them to recharge of the course of the day and night.
